Inspiring. Love this for you 🤍
After TwitchCon, I think I only have one more local con this year.

Should probably start projecting my events for 2026 soon. We either:
- reel it back and focus on my soon-to-be new day job
- RESTART MY CONTENT CREATOR ERA??!?!? 👀

(but really, I should focus on my day job 🤣)
I am once again nervous about a con (TwitchCon) for no reason
I'm excited to see you both this weekend!!
Just want to say please feel welcome to reach out if you're ever looking for someone to talk to 🤍
A day after my final interview, I received the verbal offer 🥳!

This new job:
- <2 miles from where I live
- not in gaming or tech, and that's okay, because I've enjoyed everyone I've met
- more 💰

I'm healing, to say the least.
I patiently wait until mid-September. We check in with each other, and the Recruiter schedules interviews for me with the Hiring Manager, CHRO, and COO over the span of about a week.

I exited the final interview telling myself that I interviewed honestly and can only hope for the best from here.
The Recruiter arranged a (steak 🥩) lunch for the Hiring Manager and me to reconnect and for me to learn more about the position they're proposing.

I stated and my interested, and the Recruiter and Hiring Manager said they'll be in touch with me closer to Q4.
The Recruiter asked how I was doing, if I was still on the job market, shared more with me about their team developments, etc.

I explained I started a new role, but I was very open to hearing what she had to say, and that I appreciated her for reaching out and thinking of me.
In mid-July, I received an unexpected phone call from the Recruiter for the company that previously rejected me in April. She explained they're projecting to expand their HR team later this year, and I was one of the first people she thought of to reconnect with.
My current job is alright; I don't dislike it. I've made new friends out of a few coworkers and various business clients, and I also developed exposure to other skills and fields.

Tbh, I think I'm doing really well and have security here, but this was never a place I pictured myself long term.
At the time (and since then, really), I stopped applying for jobs and do interviews because I was burnt out from job searching. I had been applying and interviewing for about 4-5 dedicated months by that point, so I put all my focus into my current job.
Back in March this year, the day I signed my current job offer, I had a final interview with another company.

I signed the offer for my current company to cover my butt after being unemployed for almost a year, and the company I interviewed with rejects me later in April.
No longer going to have "Manager" in job title (Business Office Manager), but officially signed a position to start as an HR Generalist ✅

🧵 Thread of the backstory:
had a cool new fun happy life event happen the past few days and I hope I can write about it soon once some more details are finalized
had a lil dress up outing the past few days

Once it's July, I already start thinking the end of the year is right around the corner.
The reality is we look at our keyboards (even in our peripheral vision) almost everyday, and there's a tingly good feeling in the brain to not see all the grime and dust on the face and all sides of the keycaps.
in case anyone cares I cleaned my keyboard today ⌨
in my villain era of corporate employment because apparently I send "scary" emails 🤠
