incrementalism has never worked because it is so susceptible to being undone and is entirely dependent on the long term good will of people whose interests do not align with the movements goals. I have a master's in history, I am drawing these conclusions from that degree.

A generation of coasting on lesser evilism and big donor cash has left the Democratic Party wholly unequipped to deal with a principled, eyes-wide-open electorate.

They're stumped by (e.g.) "I will not vote for a candidate who takes $1 from AIPAC."

Maybe just stop taking money from AIPAC. 🤷

Utility experts: Suppose a utility's regulator grants them a standard 10% return on equity. If the utility grows their equity by $1B through stock offerings, does that mean they can recover an additional $100M (10% of $1B) per year from ratepayers? Or can stock-based equity growth not be rate-based?
