They open the Idris Elba segment with a shot of lions and all I could think about was the incredible 2022 action thriller Beast starring Idris Elba bare knuckle brawling off against a group of vicious lions.

Haven’t seen it since stoned in college but Poughkeepsie Tapes is a creepy option. Super startling found footage/doc visuals. Can’t remember a thing about the plot but I some of the imagery is burned in my brain.

Really feel like Lorne aced the casting on the new #SNL features players this year (and the few from last year). Not quite the level of the 2005 new cast where they all felt like superstars immediately, but enough confidence where they might come close. Poehler gave them a lot to do last night.
