Brashard Smith has like 3000x more juice than either Pacheco or Hunt. Chiefs need to use him more.

Like with the Addison suspension last week, this seems like the kind of thing we should hear from the insiders, rather than merely [guy is expected to be active/inactive].

Jauan Jennings said he's playing with 5 broken ribs.

Now that I’m seeing the Titans again: no.
jadubin5.bsky.social
The Titans go run-run-run and punt on fourth-and-1 from the 44-yard line. They're 1-4 and road underdogs against the similarly-terrible 1-4 Raiders. Callahan is easily the most conservative-to-a-fault coach in the league.

We're onto Jauan Jennings or Kendrick Bourne. After already starting Hassan Haskins. Fantasy football is fun.

He can still live in Jersey.

Insiders this morning: Hassan Haskins and Bam Knight will be the lead backs.

Actual games: Kimani Vidal and Michael Carter are the lead backs.

Well golly it sounds like you should let long-standing precedents stand until you rule on the merits, then. That is not what you’re doing!

Amy Coney Barrett defends heavy use of the shadow docket: "If we wrote a long opinion, it might give the impression that we have finally resolved the issue, and in none of these cases have we finally resolved the issue."

I've watched an alarming amount of the Titans and I assure you it's close, which is really saying something. The main difference is that Cam Ward appears to at least know what he's doing. If they could catch the ball they'd be not quite as terrible, but they can't.

I have been resisting this take but the Jets might actually be worse than the Titans.

3️⃣ Things NBA Preview: San Antonio Spurs

⛏️ Fox and Wemby, picking and rolling
2️⃣ Stephon Castle, Year 2
1️⃣ Mitch Johnson, Year 1

Fox and Wemby ran only 46 P&Rs together last year. We hope to see a heck of a lot more of that action this season — it'll be one of the most fascinating watches in the NBA.

3️⃣ Things NBA Preview: New Orleans Pelicans

🌎 Where are we going?
⁉️ Zion Williamson, ???
📈 The best-case scenario

The Pels won 21 games last year, but they won 49 the year before. I've been down on them all summer, so I tried to be positive and map out the best-case scenario for this year's team.

3️⃣ Things NBA Preview: Memphis Grizzlies

⁉️ Ja Morant, enigma
🏥 Injuries, out of control
2️⃣ Jaylen Wells, Year 2

Will we ever again see the Ja Morant that looked like he was about to be perennial All-NBA? This version of the Grizz depends on getting that version of Ja. He's only 26. Can he get back?

Sixteen of these suckers are up now, meaning we're more than halfway through the league — a perfect time to read up on the teams we've already done, and to stoke your anticipation for those we haven't to a fever pitch!

I haven't shared them yet because, well, I've been pretty jammed up with writing, but our Y! Sports NBA season previews started rolling out this week! Ben Rohrbach and I will be writing quick table-setters for all 30 teams over the next few weeks, and I'll thread 'em here.
