And those things don’t see like enough for them, or are poisoned by sermons that aren’t sufficiently hateful I guess. Or women altar servers I don’t know.
I find these takes so baffling. I’ve been to incredibly moving and beautiful masses and services in the US — starting Easter vigil in the dark and passing a flame hand to hand, hearing the church thunder during tenebrae. Also!! Many churches use Latin forms of prayers and antiphons! It can be nice!
I find this so baffling! The story I heard is that voters will punish them if they impeach again which 1. If he’s this big a threat, does being punished by voters matter? 2. Why don’t think think they can sell “the president is a crook stealing from you and pardoning his buddies”??
I continue to be shocked that the kind of vile hatred that used to be cordoned off on sites like Stormfront or 4chan — that you had to go looking for, frankly! — are now openly promoted on Twitter. The bulwarks of decorum in polite society were good and necessary!
A concern will be — are there graceful exits for some of the powerful people who caused the crisis? Finding a settlement that reduces risk of armed resistance seems legitimately hard, and in some cases opposed to political/criminal accountability.
