Colossal nerd. VHS junkie. Sifts through trash looking for treasures. Way too nostalgic.

it’s a fun little playset. i remember playing with my cousin’s during a family party as a kid.
i bought this random lot of ‘80s space toys on eBay a couple weeks ago, and finally opened the package.
eating homemade pumpkin pie and watching…
show was sold out, definitely the biggest group to “survive” the whole night. they estimated about 250 still there when the final film (fucking Eight Legged Freaks!) started.
the marathon ended up being a total blast (like always), even if i’d seen nearly all the films before. i got to see my sentimental fave Godzilla film and a couple all-timers on the big screen for the first time.
costume contest to start the show!
always such a blast. i look forward to it every year.
time for my favorite annual tradition. so geared up for twelve-hours of cinematic mayhem.
and a small baggie of Star Wars figures.
of course, i also impulse purchased a G.I.Joe footlocker full of ‘00s era figures…
brisk autumn mornings are perfect for setting up to sell.
that’s so awesome. i’ve gone to several of their screenings there over the last several years and it’s always a blast. enjoy!
is this a Coolidge screening at Rocky Woods..? the set-up looks the same.
the opening baby-snatching scene is so perfectly staged.
yes, i am a sucker for ‘70s creature-features, but this one hit harder than most.

i really, really dug it.
make sure to follow it up with The Curse (1987).
it’s been forever, but there’s some bits that still stand out. the zombies exploding out of their graves!
haven’t seen this one since it first came out back in ‘08.

i bought this particular copy from the same place i originally rented it (Hollywood Video) when they went out of business.
it’s been very hit-or-miss the last few years, but i feel like that’s true of most flea markets nowadays. everyone trying to get into the reselling game have ruined it for collectors.
Raynham, yeah. from a small vendor in the center aisle indoors that sells comics and trading cards.

he’s been set up there for at least twenty-years. maybe even as long as i’ve been going, since the late ‘90s.
it’s just -way- too tempting when it’s less than 10-cents an issue.
gotta sort ‘em, but looks like this is the keep pile.
y’all, i have got to stop buying cheap long-boxes, because i usually already have half (or more!) of the issues i pull from them.
