I came across this photo from the Willowbrook State School. It made me cry. Knowing some staff member(s) cared enough to put up a few paper Halloween decorations…doing everything they could in the incredibly overcrowded and filthy environment to try and bring some semblance of joy for the children…

Forever against the death penalty. Too violent and permanent of a solution in our imperfect justice system.

(not to mention it is extraordinarily expensive, and botched executions have happened more than you’d realize!)
