I love baseball but I don’t see mlb as baseball. I will watch Ohtani with glee in the wbc and I will watch any npb game hoping for a good game no matter who wins. In mlb I have My Team and it’s Bad if they don’t win. I don’t want a “good game for neutral fans” I want my team to win and yours to lose

People are doing that tho. Maybe not every single person but plenty are. Thoughtful conversations around AI from people who both like and dislike it are happening on social media and in real life. You can’t get mad at people dismissing your viewpoint if you write off everyone with an opposing one

Op also has options. They could turn off replies. Maybe listen to 1 or 2 of the comments. Engage thoughtfully perhaps. Lots of replies on the original post were thoughtful and based in people’s experiences. Not my fault if he wants to say something demonstrably false and then double down

If I don’t have to use it for work and I keep seeing commercials telling me to use it to write my wedding vows and going on Google to see wrong info as I try to do research or whatever, I think it’s completely reasonable for me to think that’s it’s primary purpose and that the purpose sucks

You can say there’s a low barrier of entry to number one but there’s also a higher barrier of entry to the things it’s useful for and I think that should inform your opinion on people saying it sucks. Sometimes people hate a thing being pushed on us to like, be our friend or make shitty recipes

I know lots of people who have spent a lot of time working with it and think it sucks? Or think it’s great for some things and absolutely horrific for others. Interestingly enough, the things people do actually like using it for are more niche and not necessary for the every day person to care about
