Shame is a trait that protects us from our own harmful behaviour. Behaviour like...I dunno...waddling over to a group of people having a fun time and acting like a smug douche.
Yeah and it makes sense they'd get so much coverage. But specifically there is a bias against Toronto that plays out in sports media and it actually impedes their ability to compete. Free agents don't want to take their money because the media makes playing in Toronto seem like playing on the moon.
Yeah I have no animus for the Dodgers or its fans. They're a club to be proud of.

After the Ohtani saga, Heyman called Toronto a "minor league" city despite not having been there since 1993. Rosenthal said it would be bad for the sport if he signed there.

That's what I have a problem with.
No because that would mean national sports media admitting the Dodgers aren't the main character in this story.
Can you show me this evidence please?
Blue Jays came out of a first round bye and set a record for runs scored in the ALDS.
It was pretty unsportsmanlike of Trey Yesavage to strike everybody out all night. Canada should be embarrassed.

Understatement of the year.
Shatkins strikes again.
Teoscar's Adventures in the Outfield™

I missed them so much.

I'm not precious about the anthem. But like. Just fucking sing the thing.
That's a shame. He's a pretty likeable guy.
Erik out there earning his World Series ring.
Oh yes. This is what I needed.
Honestly. Giving the full "think of the children" treatment to intentional walks.
Also tell me more about how condescending I am while you post brutally self-serious sermons about the dignified and graceful way for opponents to approach Ohtani. Give it up.
Maybe. And I'll admit I get fixated on this because I find peoples' sense of entitlement to their preferred opposition strategy very obnoxious. Nobody owes you a thing. You're not the Harlem Globetrotters. If you don't like Ohtani being walked, tell his teammates to get on base in front of him.
I'm glad we agree! It's a bad strategy! That's why it's not a problem.
It's almost like this has been thoroughly litigated over the course of a century and they made this conclusion a few years ago for a reason.
Okay. Then they'll just pitch around him. It solves absolutely nothing, and will just take more time.
