As prolific a cook as I am, I’ve never baked, so this is all new.

Added to which, my techie background means I will follow instructions to the letter but if they’re scant, then I need to ask further questions.
I’m starting my first foray into baking. It says “grease and line the tin…”

GENUINE QUESTION:

So does that mean I butter up the tin, then put baking paper in it, or paper first, or does it just mean to make sure the butter fully lines the walls of the tin?
Ah, sorry. I guess nuances like sarcasm aren’t always as apparent in text, hence my not spotting it!
Ah…that’s where I’ve been going wrong.
Oh totally. I just hadn’t realised that’d happen, maybe because I’ve not ever replied to such a convo.
25th Amendment I believe. (I’m not American, so I might be wrong about the number).
I’m with you on this Tarqs. Brown sauce FTW. Ketchup is for kids.
Interesting. So the non-watery white doesn’t seep through the sieve? I’ve got various sieves. Will give it a go!
If someone you follow replies to an account that has replies limited to those they follow, YOU can’t reply to the person you follow’s comment.

Eg. @boredoftheoldone.bsky.social replied to someone about ketchup but I couldn’t reply to her post, despite us being mutuals because of the original post!

Imagine the life-long cocktail of ignorance, arrogance and obliviousness, for a man with the face of Jeremy Clarkson, to pass unsolicited commentary on someone else’s appearance…

Saying that, I sold my lovely old BMW via FB earlier this year. I was able to find an FB selling group for that specific model, so only got enquiries from serious buyers. Sold it for twice what webuyanycar.com had offered!
I rarely post on FB now. My ‘feed’ is deluge of suggested pages rather than news from friends.

I was prolific on it in back in the early days (2007-2019), as I’d only just moved back to the UK from the US, and most of my life/friends was still stateside, so it provided a good communication tool.
Yeah I agree on all that. I’ve only just recently learned to move them once they’re in the water so they don’t stick to the pan.

I lower them into the pan one at a time, via a tiny Chinese bowl, in the hope the whites won’t disperse sodding everywhere.
I”m staying in, doing music stuff for the band, and (unusually for me) doing a bit of baking.
Fewer betting shops, leeching money of those who can least afford to gamble, sounds like a good thing.
As others have said, as you’re presenting it, instead of that Tory lickspittle Lady Haw-Haw Kuennsberg, I will endeavour to watch it.

We just need the BBC to appoint you as permanent host of Question Time, instead of the lifelong Tory currently chairing it, and we can restore some balance to TV.
JFC what a shitty thing to have done.
