Mobility aids
Aids can both help and hinder but they're often a necessity, make the most of them
1) Your walking sticks can be used to keep people away
Don't be afraid to jab it into their face, be aware they might try to grab it from you
2) If someone is trying to control you by grabbing your stick, push it towards them and scoop upwards
Use the momentum of their force against them to knock them off balance and hit them under the chin
3) A weapon is something carried without good cause that is used against others - tools to fix your aids don't count
If you just happen to have a wrench or spanner to hand, use it
4) Someone grabbing your chair is a form of assault, strike their hand or arm
Swift firm strikes to their knuckles and/or other joints will often make an attacker let go
5) Like sticks, walkers can be used to provide a blockage to someone grabbing you
Keep it between you and your harasser, hold it up and out if you can

Reasonable Force
When dealing with unavoidable violence don't forget these general rules about what is accepted self defence:

1) reasonable force must not do unwarranted harm
You can't/shouldn't use a weapon against someone for pushing you
2) reasonable is usually one step below the actions of your attacker
If they slap you you can't roundhouse them in the face, but you can push them away
3) it must be justifiably the best, only, or safest action
Protecting your safety is paramount, especially if your life is in danger
