Day 1: How or what caused you to join the Hazbin/Helluva fandom?

I was first introduced to both series back in either August or September of 2021 through memes and clips shared online. Out of sheer curiosity, I watched their respective pilots and absolutely loved them.

What's this?
HellaNostalgic?

Looks like a fun way to countdown to Season Two!!

Hazbin S1 released, and while I adored watching it, the constant hate towards the show and teasing from my friends made me leave the fandom out of guilt. While I did fortunately come back this year, I still feel like there's something wrong with me for enjoying Hazbin/Helluva.

Then, Season Two of Helluva premiered, and I saw an influx of people criticizing the shows, but thought little of it. As 2022 went on, the show's detractors gradually became... kind of vitriolic. It got to the point where I genuinely felt like I was stupid for loving the Hellaverse.

After reading this, I have to confess that I was temporarily swept up in the hate. I went through a lot since then, so this 'confession' might last for several replies. I joined the fandom back in 2021 and absolutely loved the shows and even got invested in the numerous fan works.

Personally, I'd love it if Hazbin S2's time of release was like that in my region. Waking up to that is just as exciting as it is for Christmas.

On the inverse, Harry Potter's popularity has declined to the point of no return, literally. Rowling is open about being a bigoted, transphobic piece of shit, and even included bits of her views in her books.

Comparing Scott to JKR doesn't make any sense in my opinion.

That's what really gets me about the "moral" crusade against Five Nights at Freddy's. They act like boycotting FNAF, a series they likely never played to begin with, is going to advance anything. It doesn't except drag fans of the franchise through the mud.
inpurpleshadows.bsky.social
In the replies to one of the announcement posts for the FNAF2 movie, I saw people who cleared up that misinformation getting jeered at. There are actively bigoted individuals who make far more money than Scott, but who cares about that when you can focus on stuff that happened four years ago🤦‍♂️
inpurpleshadows.bsky.social
Sorry a bunch of people are going after you for saying this. I think your advice is totally reasonable.
inpurpleshadows.bsky.social
To be fair, if Stolas ever had a diary or personal journal, he might write something like that. In the time period between 'Mastermind' and 'Sinsmas', I imagine he would feel disassociated from the rest of Hell, especially since he's forbidden from interacting with his daughter.
inpurpleshadows.bsky.social
Oh my God, people are claiming THAT?! As insane as MatPat probably is, I don't think he's ever in his entire career spread transphobic rhetoric or hate speech. I'm starting to think the whole anti-FNAF campaign is nothing more than a psy-op.

BUT HEY, THATS JUST A THEORY, A GAME THEORY!!!
inpurpleshadows.bsky.social
The claim that Scott Cawthon donated millions of dollars to right-wing politicians is plain false. He gave just as much, if not more to The Trevor Project among other progressive charities. Plus, given the largely LGBT & autistic demographics of the FNAF fanbase, I doubt Scott had malicious motives.

One aspect of this that really hits me in the feels is that it's entirely possible this event may have or at least could occur in canon. For several years, Fizz subject himself to humiliation just so he could continue working under Mammon🥺😭

Bro thinks he's on the team (who invited my man blud)😭😭😭

Day 14: Favorite fandom meme and/or funny memory?

Back when Hazbin S1 released, I remember this content farm clearly made to cash in on the trend. The creator of the channel literally stole fan models and scammed their audience with them. Oh yeah, this is real btw.

Sir Precious is an adorable puppy... or, I guess snake, who deserves all the love and protection in the world🥰
inpurpleshadows.bsky.social
Another detail I like is that in these scenes, each of the characters were able to open themselves up and be vulnerable to one another. While Blitzø and Loona often push others away, when they removed that shell, they showed themselves as the kind, compassionate individuals they truly are.

Vivziepop men are either the most gorgeous, ethereal creatures to ever walk the Earth or something that just crawled out of a storm drain.

Sometimes, in spite of all known characteristics of attractiveness, they're somehow both.

If there's one thing I'm hoping for, it's that BlueSky's moderation is so awful, that the team won't even bother enforcing these new guidelines. Over the past few weeks, they've proved that they don't give a shit about their userbase, so why even care, right?
inpurpleshadows.bsky.social
Just ignore that dude, continue doing what makes you happy and you'll live a wonderful life!
inpurpleshadows.bsky.social
Ironic how Moxxie, the character most opposed to killing, is usually the one to finish the job. He has a strong sense of justice and will only (and always) kill people when they're deserving of death. It's criminal how that aspect of Moxxie's character is often ignored.

This frame reminds me of that time period when Hellaverse characters would make official posts on Instagram. Does anybody remember that, or is it just me?
