One of the first “weird” films I had ever seen was made by David Lynch. He made “weird” an amazing adjective because it came to mean original in a way I hadn’t thought of before. We lost an amazing voice in a time where voices like his are vital.
“Disbelief in magic can force a poor soul into believing in government and business.” The first time I read Tom Robbins, it blew my mind. I had never read anything that went off the rails so beautifully all the while making me laugh and think at the same time. Rest in piece.
