A core principle behind No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to de-escalate any confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
Update on future meetings. We will not be having meetings in June.

Instead we will meet in Beaverton library on July 9, conference room A; 5:30 to 7.

Also a meeting August 6th at that time in Room A.

How do you feel about skipping the in person meetings in July and August? I can still send out emails with to do lists and information, but people tend to scatter in the summer and I suspect attendance will be down. Please let me know what you think about this.

End of notes.

Summer is coming! We talked about having a social get together outside. Its probably a good idea to do it sooner than later, as summer schedules get very busy. The grass outside the Beaverton library is a nice space in the summer. Bryant will send out a survey on dates and places.

There was interest in the group about finding out more about the ICE verification program. When you sign up and take the training, you will be added to a Signal chat for starting a chain report. More information to come when training starts up again.

Is anyone interested in participating in another Oregon Food Bank volunteer day? The one some of us did a few weeks ago was fun and they run an efficient operation!

No King’s Day protest scheduled for June 14. We hope No King’s Day will be a bigger day of protest than April 5 Hands Off, which was very successful. You can find events near you on mobilize.us, and there will be an event in Tigard in the morning. More information as it becomes available.
