Wrapping up our 6th year🎉

From launching during Covid🦠 to making our 1st tech sale💰it’s been a wild ride.

We couldn’t have done it without our amazing community. So regardless of when you joined us on our journey, we want to say... Thank you!
The Timeline of Immersion Room. 2020: January - VP software and firmware development begins October - Raised seed funding for LED stage planning & building requirements November - Secure our first studio location in Toronto, Ontario. 2021: January - Renovations of the new space begin. February - Finalized our current logo and mascot, LEDDY. March - Start constructing the LED wall. 2022: February - Secure our first client for a virtual production on our new wall. August - First technology sale... a studio powered by Immersion Room technology. 2023: January - Marked a 66% increase in team size. May - Attended NAM, and was nominated for a Sustainability Award of Excellence. July - Expansion... moved to Downsview Park, Toronto to accommodate larger productions. 2024: September - Considered for an Oscar of Scientific & Technological achievement. 2025: February - Launched "Plug & Play" opening the door to even more clients. Shooting on a real subway = Logistical nightmare

Shooting on a LED volume subway = 100% control + 0 location headaches

That’s what Z-Suite chose to do. They sent us their subway ads and we dropped them into the UE scene. 

From there, it was full speed ahead!

We love seeing this energy in our industry, from indie features to large-scale productions, our studio has been part of the exciting wave of Canadian film storytelling. Matt Johnson’s BlackBerry has been widely recognized across Canada, winning many notable awards including Best Picture (BlackBerry) and Best Direction (Matt Johnson) at the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards. We’re proud to say that Immersion Room played a role in bringing Matt Johnson’s award-winning BlackBerry movie to the big screen.
