Fletcher's coffee and ice cream shop still has the best pumpkin spice latte in northeast. I highly recommend stopping by.

They're also raising money to fix the playground at my son's daycare which has been vandalized.

Just witnessed someone trying to fireb*mb Fletcher’s Ice Cream in NE. Saw a dude acting weird next to a parked car in front of the place. I walked by, heard a smash through my earbuds, smelled gasoline/kerosine. Turned around, snapped some photos instinctively. Thankfully they suck at molot*vs.
I'm not funny enough to not be earnest.
Any profit seeking social media site is systemically setup against artists. Artists demand wages and wages are in opposition to profit.

This is why FOSS and federation are the best current alternatives to the corporate owned, profit seeking systems we're victims to.
To your first point: that's why I advocate for federation. You have much more control as a user.

As far as making marketing art difficult, is having a social media company like meta that's heavily invested in AI good for artists?

The echo chambers can talk to each other.
I get it, it can be difficult and frustrating to not be heard. I just feel like federation is the future of good social media. Decentralization needs to happen or you'll get an exec and mod team that will make decisions that are against a good user experience.
Okay so don't go. I'm just letting people know of an alternative.
I've been on the internet since yahoo messenger. Moving is nothing to me. I've been on boards with only a dozen or so people.
It doesn't matter when it's the correct move.
Mastodon and the fediverse are perfectly fine social media outlets for everyday use. They just need more people on them.
For everyone upset at the bluesky moderation team here, please check out Mastodon and Lemmy.

They're part of the fediverse and are the decentralized social media we need.
The educators I know who take these classes hate ai and are disappointed that they don't help students spot it better.
Thanks for making the list! Wow that was nauseating.
Gotta block ‘em all!
Here’s the one-stop shopping blocklist to disappear the Trump regime accounts that swarmed Bluesky yesterday.
