This is an excellent analysis of the mayoral race in Lethbridge by University of Lethbridge Political Science Professor Dr. Yale Belanger.

Given Dr. Belanger's conclusions, I still intend to vote for Quentin Carlson. I would say it's a protest vote, but what other kinds are there?

I'm not saying Americans shouldn't try to have free and fair elections regardless of Trump and friends, but it seems insanely optimistic to assume there will be meaningful American elections in 2026. They won't allow the newly elected Dem to sit as it is.

Just to be clear, this is EXACTLY what Pete Hegseth said, word for word, on video in a formal announcement:

“We’re signing a letter of acceptance to BUILD A QATARI AIR FORCE FACILITY at the Mountain Home Airbase.”

"The project, known as Esmeralda 7, would have comprised a sprawling network of solar panels and batteries across 118,000 acres of federally owned land in the Nevada desert northwest of Las Vegas. It was expected to produce up to 6.2 gigawatts of energy, enough to power nearly two million homes."
