I appreciate the need & want to have involved tutorials, but if it's not some story-crucial, cinematic sequence, sometimes I really just wish they'd let me choose:
"Hey! I can show you the ropes if you'd like?
- Sure! (Begin Tutorial)
- I'm good, bruv! (Begin exploring freely and wreak havoc)"

Totally agreed. The shtick with the book never really changed; hilarious at first, but just wore off it’s welcome as it.. never progressed.

I was really expecting a poignant lesson at the end, but it turn out it was just a messed up Parent Trap scenario.

I’ve heard the writing in Split Fiction is better! Hoping it hits more like Brothers and A Way Out, both of which I loved.😭

It’s not very long if you actually commit to it. Maybe 12 hours? I do wonder if I’d have enjoyed it more if we binged through it in a weekend instead of stretching it out.

Ahhh, I loved FFXII; I remember it getting a lot of flak when it came out for the gambit system, and I thought everyone was just crazy.

No one expected it would make the start of Final Fantasies starting to make some wild experimentation with their gameplay between titles.

We finally finished It Takes Two, and, … 🤷‍♀️

It was fun enough to complete because co-op; some clever bits & great visuals. Between the writing, the main characters, and the basic gameplay, I was really soured on it by the end. 💔

Still looking forward to Split Fiction, just.. less. 😕
