I look at gambling data every day and you’d be surprised how many people wager $1000 to win $10.

People that pick the other side. The markets are binary. So basically you win the other person’s spend on the contract.

These markets have been around since the 30s with wheat derivatives. They are nothing new, it’s just Kalshi et al. have moved into the sports and politics world.

Kalshi isn’t concerned with wins or losses, just volume of contracts purchased.

This is incorrect for Kalshi. As a designated contract market it only takes a fee per transaction. No one on Kalshi is playing against the house. Every “bet” is the purchase of a contract that goes against someone who purchases the other side of the contract.

The two best senators we have right now are 76 and 84. I'm not saying Mills is a great candidate. I really don't know. But I do think the more competition, the better.

I'm curious how many people Platner is going to surprise when he discusses gun control.

If the up-and-comers are the best candidate, then they’ll win. I’d rather they go through a primary and gain experience and show what they really stand for than not.

The more people that run, the better. We need our best option in every race, and those people need to actually have to fight. Anyone can have a cool campaign video and say the right things when there is no pressure.

If they are great, then why retire? Until they act in a diminished capacity or get sick, who cares? They do more for young and disadvantaged people than any other senator.
