I don't get capitalism. You have taken all of the money out of circulation and put it in your pocket. There is no more money in circulation, the game is now over. What now? What do you think happens tomorrow? The game ends and there isn't a winner, just various degrees of loser.

$200 plus an hour wait at the dealership to get a new keyfob. I'll give it a month and see if the original turns up. Or I'll just do it when I next take my car in for maintenance.

2026 cars are rolling out and they can't get me a copy of my 2025 key fob at the key store. What do you mean you don't have the right cable? Why do you need a different cable each year?

Who remembers when Flacon9 landings were marvels? Now a booster comes down once a month at least and its sorta mundane. What marvels of science and engineering will we become so common place as to be footnotes? Its almost sad in a way, the wonder progress can sometimes rob.

Someone's car alarm went off for a good minute and some change. What do I do in that situation? Its next to my apartment and there's no way anyone would sleep with that. Do I call non emergency? I think thats what you do.

I remembered that I left a magic VPN button I'm backpack that lets you get access to government, or at least USPS networks. It occurred to me the Postal Inspection Service might want to know about that.

It seems that they do, and they want me to call them this week. Hope I don't get in trouble.

So the Chicago lost and found hotline seem to be M-F, but they let you leave a 20 second message if you missed them.

"Hi, I'm Ferrous and I'm calling about a missing-"

What dipshit though 20 seconds was enough? I mean it makes the message simple for them as I can't leave one.

I forgot my backpack on a flight, and I don't even know if it was at the gate or on the plane. All I know is I flew Chicago to Sioux Falls, and at some point I lost my backpack. They couldn't find it on the plane at Sioux Falls, so it must be in Chicago.

Last time I checked there was some AI promotion. Any art site offering AI gen services is certainly training without your consent, or you have to opt our of consent and hope they listen.

I'm excited for the weekend, except I have required Sunday travel for training... But I get Friday off as a comp day, and the week after has a holiday, so 4 day weekend.

My Inktober will be going down my steam library in alphabetical order and using that as the theme. A different letter each day and ones I don't have are free spaces. The last 5 will be games not on steam.

I am playing ICBM Escalation and the campaign is hard. Not impossible, I went from losing in 10 minutes to losing in 30, and eventually I should be able to win.

Maybe. I keep wanting to tech rush because you keep tech between missions but you don't have armies if you tech rush.

I should never have to VPN into a place to be able to see something. I wonder if the EU could be pushed to block sites that collect this sort of data? They would then have to contend with which market they want to go with, or put pressure to nuke these idiot policies.
