Currently Gov Gateway has 50 million users. One Login about 4 million. HMRC are migrating now, to be completed by '27. New SA people are required to use OL.

It's strange comms for a decent solution for a very different problem. I still don't get why OneLogin couldn't be the ID to give access to these federated systems. There's a lot of misinformation going round like surveillance and "show me your papers" often by MPs.

Point was the with existing system you have to prove your identity using some existing identities. Having a Digital Id might actually be securer than handing over your passport or driving licence, potentially a scan over email.
The thing I don't get is why not just use OneLogin as an option.

This is true but it's not an argument against an ID system. FTR I think the Digid is a decent idea for a different problem. There is a lot of misinformation about it. But it's good to have the discussion.

In the US they went in through the front door. No need to hack or anything like that. All the valuable data (HMRC, DWP, NHS) is already somewhere.

Green energy can bring down bills, but at the moment that does not appear to be flowing down.

Green energy needs to be a separate wholesale item than Fossil energy to drive down prices to the people.

Over the summer our dog got prescribed 1 weeks Piriton 4mg tablets for £16.

It was specifically listed by the brand not the medical name. The same (potential) product you can buy a months worth for £5 from Sainsbury's, which we didn't buy just in case.

If it is the same product this is obscene.

I am not sure how accurate this is but these SELT prep videos do not exactly shout out having to recite Shakespearean monologues.

Its almost like their message is deliberately stronger than it needs to be.

It's right to put blame on tax rises on #FarageTax he needs holding to account. He will blame the rises on overspending in a DOGE style.

The response would be to highlight the savings that were promised not found in their councils.
