Just looking up who the lead in that show actually is and wow he played Kazuma Kiryu in the Like a Dragon drama. Not watched that yet but I'm even more curious now...

Not sure I can see him as Kiryu though.

Sorry this happened to you. Some people think it's a free for all and that you don't have boundaries.
Flirting with streamers is so incredibly cringe and disrespectful.

It’s not a 1 to 1. Gay doesn’t = whore.

And no, Rolo to the Rescue doesn’t make me horny.

Not lately anyway.
You ever spent 5 hours off stream updating/adding new features to stream

So you finally go live and the first 2 hours of stream end up just being strangers talking about how much they wanna fuck you?

Like im literally just playing hellnight. Fuck off
The tv drama year is seasonal.shows tend to run and end with each season. The autumn drama season began about 2 weeks ago
So there’s a lot of new shows starting right now. I’ve just been trying whats new (and on my streaming services

It will end mid December (when winter starts and new shows begin)
I’d say no different from western tv actors who get similar roles appropriate to their age.

lot of popular mainstream drama is also entered around the leads names and recognition so you get idols etc. I tend to flock to shows without young idols. But some idols can turn out to be vr good actors too
They certainly get typecast for sure but you do get to see alot of variet too.

I’ve seen some do comedy then melodrama and make the change quite well and vice versa.

Some also do film. It’s best to just find who you like and follow or check out their filmography’s IMO and see if that sounds good
One of the best things about Japanese drama is that it’s usually only 9-11 episodes long. And rarely ever has a sequel series. unless it’s extremely popular and lends itself to that format.

Self contained story and move on. It’s great to see same actors in many diff shows as a result.
I totally have a crush on the lead nas and that may be 90% of the reason I’m watching still…

I know I’m not supposed to.

I’ve only see one epsiode but that drama was better than I expected from the premise. Seems bit dated for 2025 but it’s playful and silly. I like the quirkiness in filming too.
Yes none of what I’ve been posting comes close to my fave stuff but it’s a good time. There are some incredible tv actors/actresses in Japan who don’t get the acclaim they deserve.

You know where to find me on discord if you are ever interested in more or want to browse links I post.
There’s alot of fan subs out there for things. Not found one for this show yet but it’s still new.

I’ve also been enjoying this currently airing show. Not the best but easy watching and a bit goofy. And I believe this is an official western release.
I do post alot in my discord about things I watch. Unfortunately not all have availability in English but I try to post links in there to English subs to stuff I’m watching if I can.
I tend to follow actresses I like and pick from there. Or stuff that seems culturally significant or popular at one time.

kinda been picking anything that catches my eye on the free japan streaming service Tver. I like the language practice so I’m a lot more tolerant of lower quality shows too.
Jokes aside, there’s alot of really good stuff that’s really well afrer and not always crazy and OTT.
Like any medium there’s good and bad. And alot of what makes it to surface mainstream isn’t always the best. I have lots of sincere recommendations as well as funny ones.
If I told you the next scene ended up with the husband in his pants with his eyes closed reenacting the famous scene from titanic unaware he's being broadcast to his work group video call, as his wife storms home, would you believe me?

Yes, you probably would.
The woman wanting revenge is the post plastic surgery woman telling her to go out to let her husbands guard down. (But it's also her he is secretly messaging because she has targeted him too in a bar)

Real silly revenge stuff but pre-surgery actress is incredible. I'm hooked.

From Musume no Inochi wo Ubatta Yatsu wo Korosu no wa Tsumi desu ka? (Roughly - Is it a crime to kill the bitches who took my daughter's life?)

Actually enjoying this. Ridiculous premise. Middle aged woman has surgery to look young to get revenge on the women who caused her daughters suicide.
I don’t find these shows they find me.

-My husband works at home on Thursdays
-You should go out and let his guard down

-After I pick up Harumi, I've been invited to a home party so I'll probably be late back
-You need to relax sometimes, right? Take your time
-Thanks, I'm off then...

Amazing!

Funniest thing I've seen in ages.
Context - Woman turned private detective is also being stalked by abusive ex. At dinner with fiance, he shows up and sends surprise cake. Fiance (not knowing who he is) sends him away for bothering her. (Cut a few bits). She later looks out the window...

*gasp*
The ending song is also really pretty sung by the lead actress and really sums up the shows energy. I often skip endings but enjoyed this one.

Finished the last episode of the 1994 version of Minami-kun no koibito. Enjoyed that far far more than I expected to. Cheeky, but sweet modern fairy tale. Recommend to any who is able to watch and wants an unpretentious charming show. So relaxing and warm to watch with likeable characters.
Honesty everyone else in the show has been normal. There is actually another woman with a stalker who wants revenge she was hired to help and hes far more regular, I dunno why this guy is going to 1000. But acting choices aside, a director decided on that cake gorging lol

Japanese High School girls sure knew how to party on 1991.

Hey wanna come over and listen to Whilson Philips?

Boy do I!
If you want some more villainous acting..

Fiance - I'm Asano.
Villain - I know, a detective, Midori told me.
F - Midori?
V - Excuse me...I meant Midorn-san.
F - Why the cake?
V - I saw you by coincidence and thought would...SURPRISE her. Sorry to interrupt your date
