tried to just grab a empty cart for a customer and put it away for her, and she freaked out at me bc her receipt was still in the cart. even when i handed it to her, she just muttered that i was pissing her off for rushing her.

it works(?) for a trial series bc the story itself is just there for you to enjoy as supplementary to the everything else.
but when stands alone, and suddenly the established world needs to BEND for this story to become the main focus, it becomes so obvious that it needed a second draft.

now that you mention, i feel endwalker was the first sign, since most of post-endwalker feels like it was meant to be a trial series. like it was all meant to be binged at once, with teeny breaks for the patch cycle releases. which doesn't fill the msq role at all.
