When I draw character pairings I always use hashtags / pairing names so others can mute the words in case they don't like it! So for example I'll always say if something is 🇺🇸🇬🇧 or 🇬🇧🇺🇸 and if I don't use hashtags / pairing names it's because it can be seen either way 👍

Alfred has had a crush on Arthur this whole time and doesn't mind any of this but he wants a veil and a ring since this is the closest thing to marrying Arthur he'll get. Arthur brings him what he wants because he thinks it'll prevent any attacks before the spell/ritual is done.

Arthur is the Demon King. When Alfred is said to be destined to become more powerful than Arthur, he kidnaps him before his enemies can use him against him. His plan is to bind their souls together with a spell/ritual so Alfred won't be able to hurt/kill him.
