The Security Service of Ukraine has confirmed that Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov has been stripped of his Ukrainian citizenship because he is reportedly a Russian citizen.

Copies of his Russian foreign passport, issued on December 15, 2015, after Russia's 2014 invasion, are held by the SBU.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy decreed to dismiss Col. Gen. Ruslan Khomchak, who was Commander-in-Chief in 2020-2021, from the post of First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. Maj. Gen. Yevhen Ostryanskyi, who served as Deputy General Staff Chief, was appointed to replace him.

On Tuesday, Russian troops attacked Kherson and the surrounding region with artillery and drones. Three people were killed and 11 others were wounded as a result of the attacks, according to the Kherson Oblast Prosecutor's Office.
