Great interview with @petebuttigieg.bsky.social Loved Pete's take on the two competing forces around identity politics in the Democratic Party that starts around the 18-minute mark. Very insightful and he presents the better way to frame the issue.

Pete is 43 ... literally the future. He's also very well liked. Deal with it.

Here's the recent Atlas intel (the highest rated polling firm out of the '24 election) favorability poll.

Maybe put your petty Pete hatred on the shelf and let the voters decide. Democracy is fun, yo!
hoyageorge.bsky.social
Good luck? Luck isn't part of this. Candidates put themselves in front of the voters and attempt to convince them that they are worthy of their support. Pete has done a very good job of that.

Will he win the Dem nomination? We'll find out. I know that I'll work hard for whomever the Dems pick.

People like Pete. Deal with it.

I'm was simply sharing w/ you the results of a recent favorability poll taken by Atlas Intel, the top polling firm from the '24 election. I'm fairly certain it's not a poll of only Team Pete members. 😁

Let the voters decide. You might be surprised at just how popular Pete is outside of Team Pete.
hoyageorge.bsky.social
Maybe leave it to the voters.

PS. Voters seem to like Pete.

Nothing like a feckless hit piece from 2019 to underscore just how pissed off people on the far left still are that Pete beat Bernie in Iowa in 2020, almost beat him in his back yard of NH two weeks later, and essentially ended Bernie (and Liz's) bid for the White House.

Bitter and petty, anyone?
hoyageorge.bsky.social
You're a bit outside the zeitgeist in your dismissal of Pete. Voters will decide our future leaders, not people trapped in their social media silos.

This is the most recent favorability poll taken by the top polling firm from '24. People like Pete.

Sue the fuck out of him and the agency.

Good grief. Have you spent NO time figuring out how to set your Blue Sky profile to pull up key phrases and words? I spend maybe a half hour s day on Blue Sky and am able to see the most recent posts and comments that mention Pete. I'm not some robot or paid commenter, just someone who likes Pete.

It's not a cult. It's a group of people who simply think differently than you and believe in someone you don't like. It's called democracy. It's no different than the Bee Hive, Bernie Bros, Rose Twitter, Yang Gang, etc.

You post negative comments about Pete. You getting paid? No. Neither am I.
hoyageorge.bsky.social
I'm really shocked that you don't understand how Blue Sky can work. You don't have to be getting paid to spend even a limited amount of time daily to easily search positive, negative, and neutral posts/comments about a person or topic, and then reply. How do you think I'm seeing your post?
hoyageorge.bsky.social
So, to specifically answer your question, no, I'm not insane. But you are wrong about Pete, which was my original response.
hoyageorge.bsky.social
In fact, it's the exact opposite of what you think. There is recent polling that disputes what you've deluded yourself into thinking.

I'm sorry, but you're way off the mark here. You might want to consider stepping away from your Marxist silo for a spell to see how the rest of the country is responding to issues and candidates outside of this particular Blue Sky bubble (that isn't representative of the greater population).
hoyageorge.bsky.social
Not to piss in your corn flakes, but I'd counter that what Pete did in 2020 worked incredibly well. A previously unheard of, then-37-year-old, gay mayor of an industrial Midwestern city of 100k won the Iowa caucus, almost won NH, and is now a frontrunner for the Dem nomination in '28.

Makes me wish I lived in NYC so I could vote for him just to see him fulfill this promise.

We can't allow a Republican anywhere near the White House for at least a generation so we can fully fix the damage the Trump Administration has done to our country.
