Mixing collagen into my coffee every morning realizing I am mixing potions made from the pulverized bones of animals in the name of longevity - my hair and nails growing at breakneck speed.
Witchy.

The City in Glass by Nghi Vo
A love story to a city that spans centuries through the eyes of an unaging - but not unchanging - demon. A perspective through time and immortality.
Loved it!

This text is sited in A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki which is what prompted me to read it!

Just finished The Chosen and the Beautiful by Nghi Vo. Their writing is like a song peppered with jaw dropping analogies. As a magical realist retelling of a classic story, I was amazed at how dreadfully relevant the political clime in it is to ours today.
I also adore Vo's Singing Hills Cycle.

It was so warming to be able to share this poem at the weekend's past Winter Gathering.
I heard it from my girl @theferocity.bsky.social on Vibe Check and was like "oooh I am saving that for Winter Gathering jic" and guess what, it came up.
Read it out loud to yourself or friends for full effect.
Serenity gained from chaos.
Oh hell yeah!! Those both sound delish!
I have dabbled in some asiago cheese bread which I love but my kids prefer the plain ol regular loaf 😅
