The Sea of Thieves servers are now offline for a hotfix addressing a few Commendations, Deeds and rewards that have not been working as intended following last week's update. We'll let you know when it's safe to set sail once again.

I dont go on Twitter at all these days much but I just noticed Twitter just AI-Generates everyones Alt Text now and sticks it on all images. It also uses the context of the message (and possibly replies) for extra info.

Not really sure what to think of that. But means every image is being trained..

My response:

What these people (bots) don't understand is that it's not about being "better". It's about humans being irreplaceable in ways AI cannot ever replicate.

Art is beautiful because a human pours emotion and countless hours of experience into every piece. A bot can make something "pretty", but it will never make something that allows humans to connect.

Writing reaches its audience because the author is turning experience and imagination into a new story. I'm currently rereading a book that I read when I was 12. It connected with me as a kid and now as an adult I can reflect on the themes and how things have both changed but stayed the same. I wonder what inspired the author to write it. AI cannot produce that experience.

Teachers do more than teach. They connect with kids. They're parental figures, they're tutors, they're friends. A computer can't put a bandage on a skinned knee or comfort a child who's struggling with life's new challenges. A teacher does so much more than teach.

AI can make things look simple or pretty. It will never have the ability to share human experience or emotion.

Fun fact, I can draw only stick men and even I think AI slop is cancerous and everyone using it to steal from artists should be shamed till the end of times.
