Yeah but triple the size seems CRAZY. Just thinking about the floor plans of the falcon from cross sections relative to the Smuggler freighter in SWTOR and I’m like… there’s no way the latter is 100 meters and the falcon is only 35

In canon it has no size stated, so it’s easy to hand wave, but I still wish there was a little more clarity!

For reference - this is the ship that, among other occurrences, is the Smuggler ship in @SWTOR. And this is the source book reference.

I never got the sense the ship was supposed to be THIS big in game, especially when its influence is so clearly the Falcon.

Space ship specs for the XS Stock Light Freighter from SWTOR, stating its size to be roughly 3x the Millenium Falcon (88 x 101 x 27m)

In old (Legends) sourcebooks, the XS Stock Light Freighter is listed as being 100m long… which is 3 times the size of the Millenium Falcon.

That HAS to be wrong, right? If you assume they meant feet, it’s about the same size. Makes way more sense.

Big agree, I’d also speculate the reason for a remake vs a remaster is that they’re gonna take this opportunity to formally canonize it, so there might be some very very slight tweaks

But I always get nervous time they start to get too “cosmic” with the Force, and so most of my worry is how that treatment goes if we go down that path. Will have to see if the rumors actually pan out!

Abeloth I’m much more mixed on. I do not have the reverence for that arc of Legends that people seem to suddenly have, but that doesn’t mean I think the character is entirely bad - she could probably benefit from a retool in new canon.

No strong feelings about Mara Jade either, never disliked the character but never felt strongly she was needed in the new canon. I have some reservations if this Starfighter kid turns out to be Luke’s kid, but we’ll see.
