... With some storylines, like T'Pol’s addiction, it felt as if the writers didn’t really know where they wanted to go with it. It was introduced well but then kind of cut off, resolved with an unbelievably quick healing.

... Star Trek for an entire season. The optimism was there, but often buried under heavy, dark themes.
The Xindi arc was great – but in my opinion, it dragged on for too long. Especially since character development could only progress so far under such warlike circumstances.

... Finally, we learn T'Pol’s age – and she frames it as intimate information. This works on so many levels that it’s close to awesome.
What derailed me a bit, though, is that the dialogue leading to that moment feels really constructed.

The Enterprise saves Earth and Xindi space but ends up thrown back into the past – with Archer missing in action.

Das ist nicht nur deswegen Irre. Das ist eine echte Sollbruchstelle im System. Wenn ich mich im Rechtsstaat auf das Recht verlassen soll, aber es mir nicht leisten kann mein Recht einzufordern, was bleibt dann? Das Recht des Reicheren? Mir wird grad schlecht.
