After such a convincing win the speed at which the government has become so bland and low energy is astonishing. No passion, no direction, just like a bunch of middle managers in an accounting firm. At last the opposition has found some guts and will not vote for the bastardisation of the FOI laws.

There were books written in the 70's trying to warn the world (to no avail) that corporations would become bigger then nation states, unelected faceless men (usually men) calling the shots and telling governments what to do. It's all happened just as they said.

I believe Margaret tried to warn Gough about Kerr but he didn't take any notice. I suspect Gough was distracted trying to get the supply bill through Fraser's hostile Senate and he didn't think that Kerr would do such a treacherous act. 50th Anniversary coming up so all very sad memories.

How do we explain this behaviour from Albanese? Was he recruited at uni by secret conservative forces just as Philby, Burgess & Maclean were by the Russians? Given a log cabin story we could all believe in. A long term project to install a clandestine Tory mole as a Labor PM. I hope I'm joking.

It would appear that Albanese really doesn't like the huge majority he has been gifted, that comes with responsibility and hope for change. Talking to the Libs gives an impression that getting good policy through is really difficult and not really possible, gives them an out for doing fuck all.

A lot of Labor people whom I thought were ok have gone bad over the last few years. Minns has eroded faster than most as shown with this example here. The LNP are a basket case, lost to right wing bullshit, may as well call themselves the Australian Rupert Party.
