Don't ever accept Israel being called a democracy. Challenge it whenever you hear it referred to as one. Palestinians under military law, not the country's criminal law which would have to offer equality with Jews. Military law gives them free range to do as they please and boy do they use it.
If it is anything like most other Palestinian cases, the sentencing decision will have been made before he even gets into court and his attendance is only so that he can be told the outcome. It will last less than 60 seconds. This is Israel's military law.
Or Israel stopped killing people and adhered to the ceasefire. Is not as simplistic as you would make out. Bodies are under rubble and there isn't the proper equipment to retrieve them. Perhaps something constructive like a peace keeping group/machinery to assist? But Hamas is Israel's best excuse.
