Second was @maryoz.bsky.social LevKen Three (Levens-Kendal), a canal walk. Without a canal.

Never did share my Saturday #SlowWaysUK walks, due to travel problems and tiredness!

First was ArnLev One (Arnside-Levens): a varied walk of paths, roads, woods, hills. And Fairy Steps.

I'm not far off from finishing my watch of the Classic Who run.

I can see why it got cancelled. The 80s aren't great.

And that's Stage 10 of @GmRingway ticked, and officially halfway around! Only taken a year!

Mostly uphill from Newhey, past the reservoirs; up over Windy Hill and the M62 bridge; Blackstone Edge and down the Roman Road to Hollingsworth Lake.

Tired but exhilarating!

Quick pitstop at the café by Hollingsworth Lake before heading for home.

Touch wood, a better homeward journey than yesterday...

Another early start: first train to Manchester, then up to Newhey to do Stage 10 of GMRingway.

It's not to misty here in Liverpool; let's see what the Manchester moors are like!

From doorstep to first step on my walking day, it took two hours.

Getting back?

Almost five. Very late (but free) bus. Late running then stalled train. Swopped for another. Gaps inbetween transfers.

Long day.

And the walking was six hours.

Good job I got a cheeky McD meal in Lancaster on the way to the station! A signal fault further south near Warrington has ground everything to a halt, so still stuck in Preston! So going to be a late one!

Finally on the trains.

So of course there's delays at Preston.

As seems to be usual for the 555, it was almost 45 minutes late, so another free trip to Lancaster!

The only reason I came back two weeks after I left!

Once I'm done, there'll be a nice long line from Warrington as far as Patterdale!

One of them's yours, and you've reviewed the one I just did! Arnside to Levens (currently with a pint at the Hare & Hounds!), then your 'canalside' Levens to Kendal.
