Shortwave pirate radio station Mix Radio International is on 12100 USB with a fair signal here in Westminster MD USA at 1646 UTC. This will probably get out a lot further than daytime 43 meter pirates, so give it a try if you can't normally hear them.

I tested my UPS's battery yesterday afternoon using the built in feature. It displayed 10 minutes, that then dropped to 1 minute after a second, and one second later the UPS shut off, powering off my computers in the process.

I ordered some replacement batteries a few minutes later.
