Really unusual amount of pressure to have a guy drafted as high as he was be ready to meaningfully contribute to a really good team. The mins are gonna be there, given Conley’s age. RD just has to show he can consistently make the right decisions to truly take the role

The timing means the court is not expected to rule before, at the earliest, November 17, which is a full month after DOJ asked SCOTUS for an immediate administrative stay and stay pending appeal.

This is a big, if temporary, punt.

Instead, the court asks for briefing about the term "regular forces" in Section 12406 — a matter raised by @martylederman.bsky.social.
