I'm just as critical about the tool as i am because art means a lot to me, and to see this thing invade every part of my life, no matter how obscure, just puts even more stress onto me than what i already had before GenAI became a thing.

The key difference is that 3D accelerated graphics and streamed music still required skill to make, i don't think writing prompts and claiming the "output" as your own is the same thing.
I can agrue that image converters are also equally cheap, as no effort is put behind it.

You know, for a place that's all about creativity and counter-culture, it's shocking how many people in the demoscene just willingly cave in and defend the use of GenAI, one of the most corporate "tools" that anyone could've ever came up with.

"Tons of games" that i can easily play elsewhere as well on competing consoles or even on PC.
It's been 5 years and Sony has done nothing to compel me into buying a PS5, Rift Apart was the closest thing until they ported that to PC; And i'm still waiting for a god-damn Ape Escape 4.
