Oh no!! That's awful!

I've never had a deer problem before but I saw them in my yard a few times this summer. Hopefully they don't make it a habit 🙃

Thanks! I will probably toss these in vegetable soup this week. They're really small so probably not worth curing for storage 😅

I know right?! I assume it was deer but I didn't see which animal actually did it. All the plants were eaten down to the soil level 😭

Foraged a few pounds of wild grapes (Vitis riparia) yesterday and made wild grape jelly. 🌱

We just had our first freeze two nights ago! I waited until the freeze to harvest them.

Rosehips from the invasive multiflora rose 🌱.

I found these on a hike the other day so I went back to harvest them this morning. I'll use them for teas, syrups, and shrubs.

Harvested the last of the amaranth before the freeze. 🌱

I put the stems in paper bags to let them dry out a bit, and in a week or two I will harvest the seeds.
