The Iron Age hillfort of Spettisbury Rings (Crawford Castle / Castle Ring) #Dorset

This mighty 2ha univallate enclosure is today largely hidden behind the old railway and modern village of Spetisbury. Most people driving on the A350 are unaware of it

This goes past poor reporting into being wilfully misleading. Despite identifying exploitation, no mention of it as an issue, or the human trafficking often involved. Instead just uncritically repeating the misleading claim that "illegal working is a pull factor". 1/

This gold spray of myrtle was found in a tomb, inside a bronze vessel, resting atop the cremains of the tomb's occupant. Gold myrtle wreaths were buried with the dead to signify the deceased’s importance or as an offering to the gods for safe passage into the next world. 🏺 1/

Bernie’s democratic socialism is still compatible with liberal democracy. Trump’s national socialism is not. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

The first thing Yaxley-Lennon did on leaving court was to thank Elon Musk for funding his legal costs.

That's Elon Musk who has repeatedly called for civil war in the UK.

As of typing this - all of the major politicians and platforms maintain a presence on X and it is time for them all to leave.
Aww! How lovely. My six yr-old granddaughter rides this one every week and loves her so much 💖

Understandable that people may be scared - it was a horrific incident. But also: perspective.
In Great Britain, there are about 1.7 billion passenger rail journeys each year without serious incident (about 150 million a month). It's worth keeping perspective as news media discuss banning knives on trains or installing scanners at stations.
