During August and September members of the New Zealand Medical Assistance Team (NZMAT) deployed to Samoa to support the response to a dengue fever outbreak. Leading the mission was Ministry of Health, working with Samoa’s Ministry of Health to plan how our health experts could best assist.
Ten NZMAT members standing in a row and smiling at the camera. Behind them is large map of Samoa. Photo of an NZMAT doctor and AUSMAT doctor standing side by side, facing away from the camera, supporting a patient who is out of sight of the camera. A healthcare professional and NZMAT doctor smiling and looking at another NZMAT doctor who is handling medical equipment.
