It's been six months since we've lost him.

I don't think it will ever get easier.

I try to remember he was the youngest, so he only had his Dad for 30ish years. I had mine for 54. That makes me luckier than most.

Every single day since, I've cried at least a little.

I miss you so much Dad.

Indeed. My paternal line first jumped over to Virginia and eventually married another immigrant, a French woman, in the early 1700s. We have absolutely 0% of anything North American in our blood; it's all European.
