My late mate Tommy Winter got back over the Rhine, one of only 70 KOSB to get out of Anhem. The battle scarred him for the rest of his life.

I've supported MND Scotland since my mother died of motor neurone disease in 2007 so this news is extremely worrying considering both the research the charity does and also with their outreach program which helps those suffering this awful disease.

On this day in 1918 my great uncle, Private Edgar Wood, was killed at Villers-Outreaux near Cambrai while fighting with the Welsh Regiment. He was 20 years old. He is buried in the tiny cemetery of Moulin-de-Pierre with 47 others who died that day.

I've never been a fan of the CWGC website and today's interaction with their app was just nonsense.
Not only does their "prove you're not a Bot" security appear ludicrously difficult, but when into the app, it's not registering any CWGC sites despite me being in Greece and close to Gallipoli 🧐🙄

My golf course brought in their 18 tee markers for repainting and left them in a random line.
One of the members who had genuine OCD was angry that this had occurred and had "been allowed to happen".
Suffice to say he put them all in order until some wit put the prime numbers in a separate line 🙈🤯🙈
