I was doing yard work today and upon finding a Bald-faced Hornet I did what any normal person would do and got my camera out. She did not appreciate me and flew off into the woods. Bald-faced Hornets are a species of yellowjacket.

Here is your Sunday Spider, I think a Psecas chapoda jumping spider. From what I've read, they have a mutualistic relationship with a bromeliad, Bromelia balansae. The spiders live exclusively among the plant's spiny rosettes; in turn their debris/droppings feed the plant. #Arachtober #Bugsky 🌿🐙

I think the walkers were actually scarier early on because they could use tools, climb stairs, crawl under obstacles, etc

they actually lessened their abilities over time LOL

tho then they start to have them get freaky later again which is funny. full circle
