J.M. Smucker, the maker of Uncrustables, is suing Trader Joe’s, accusing the grocery store chain of infringing on its trademarks by selling a copycat version of its disk-shaped, crustless, peanut butter-and-jelly sandwich.

What I found kept me sane, but also led to some real opportunities, was volunteering the free time I had to help folks out.

Whether that's aiding another writer on here or making a difference in your own community, putting that time to good use was crucial to help me build some great relationships.

Last October, I was in a low place. Freshly laid off from work and few prospects of hope on the horizon.

Just a year later, I'm still out of (full time) work, but my writing career is at an all time high with a month of meetings with some exciting people.

The only way out is through.
