It’s been 8 days since I got my first shot of Xolair. The pressure in my head is better. I had fun this weekend which is good because I had even stopped listening to music. I am less itchy. I feel WAY less restless. I am way MORE nauseous. Food still sucks. Headed in the right direction tho.

It’s been over a year since I’ve seen them. They do not even manage my meds. There is a sign on their door that says “call your gp for refills” I didn’t call them this time because last time they said water and compression. What was actually happening was that I was taking stimulants accidentally.

I think they do. Chapter 1 is specifically about shutting down people they see who take ssris. Yeah my dudes I’m depressed as hell. One snack sent me to the ER lmao.

I started a medication that in theory, if it works, could return my heart to a normal rate. I’m still taking beta blockers. I don’t know if this is a concern because no one is following this. Not the dr who prescribed it, not my cardiologist, not my GP. Just me and my gc girlies against the world.

Where do we go for acute issues that are caused by our chronic illnesses? The ER doesn’t manage our issues. Well neither do our doctors. So where do we go. What do we do? We sit at home and hope it’s not fatal.

I would love @susanholtnb.bsky.social and the minister of health to weigh in on this.

Woke up to pee and for some reason I decided to punt this thing again and look what changed … now if only the actual healthcare system would switch to respirators and deploy HEPA and other IAQ improvements.

I started my biologic to help with my food intolerances, incredible itching and other MCAS symptoms. P is taking excellent care of me. “So, what are your side effects or symptoms now?” Still feeling sea sick on land little dude. 🤢

There is a mandate in the sense that they are supposed to be wearing masks in patient facing spaces. But no one enforces it. Even last winter the ER door person was telling people they only needed one if they wanted it.
