Nightmare! Genuinely hate going out in public now without ear shields from traffic noises, supermarket 'music', soundbites of mundane conversations about what Stacy said to Taylor about Kelly last week when they were at KFC, and overly enthusiastic Mormon missionaries. 😖

Wow! I always proclaim Scotland as deep fryer champions (used to live by a chip shop that boldly advertised "We'll deep fry anything!").
But US state fairs are a whole different level of creative cardiac carnage. 🤯 I'll take two deep-fried butters and throw this pack of Marlboro while you're at it.

I quite like a Scottish winter though. There's minimal burning sunlight, it's never too hot outside, and you rarely if ever have to meet a person from Florida! Wins all round 😁

Received my copy of "The Moggie Thit Meowed Too Much" authored by the wonderful @emmagraeauthor.bsky.social today!
Read the first two chapters aloud to myself and I love it 😍 Wee bit different from my own Doric dialect, so it's a great chance to learn more Scots with a fun story and fab pictures 💜

Right!? My sister is a Cancer and loves a bit of astrology but it's hard to find a gift that doesn't look like glorification of a terrible disease.
Because Cancer is part of the "water trigon" I've got her things related to this, which is kind of nice. She has a tattoo of the water symbol too 💧
