Happy #PortfolioDay!

I am Thomas and I create pixelart for videogames.
Currently I am working as an art director in the games industry.
On Saturday I co-host "Pixelart for Beginners", a free pixelart course, which is for anyone with the desire to learn how to draw & create this artstyle.
Will hit you up! Tho it is still very early but will definitely love your feedback 🙏

Unfinished digital painting of my oc Aeolus. He is wearing a modified version of the Carian Knight set (sans the helmet) that includes a cravat with a big red brooch.
Thank you sooo much sasdasx!! This meant the world, I will try to not thing that much about the correlation between virality and quality 🤝

I know I can't beat the peak aesthetics of Mega Man Legends, but I'm doing the best I can!

(game is ABYSS X ZERO for those unaware! Coming out... eventually)

Lately I've been thinking, what is my game lacking? What makes a game go viral? Is it a really polished flashy mechanic? Is it following a trend with a risky redefining approach?

It is a bit demoralizing sometimes to keep posting stuff but we all have to keep on keeping on, have a great sunday!

Building more of the world, I'm finding the room maps give away a little too much. Trying a compass instead - it switches to a stage map on the pause screen, showing visited rooms as squares and the connections between them.

Been working on some NES compatible mockups for a game of mine! I haven't made absolutely sure everything is compliant yet-- I'm just having fun exploring.

There is a brave knight within u ⚔️
A brave mole knight is standing on a molehill, sword and shield in hand. He is framed by a gothic stone frame and in the back, you can see a landscape reminiscent of the rennessance portraits. Underneath, on a piece of paper it says, "There is a brave knight within you", with a painting of a small sword below.
Love that blink, gives so much character

WIP. One half of the screen done. I dunno if I'll have the other half done this weekend, so here's what I have for just Idyll for now.

"i'm in love with my own reflection, i'm in love with the fruited earth."
A green line drawing featuring a figure looking out the port window of a space craft unto the glowing planet below. Various plants sit on the table. The text beneath reads: "i'm in love with my own reflection, i'm in love with the fruited earth."
