It's really frustrating seeing Machine Learning being conflated with Gen AI simply because people pass it all off as "AI". We've have machine learning tech for a long time and it's really awesome. Gen AI slop has poisoned terminology among many other things.

I mean, sure, it's better to be objective when it comes to these things, HOWEVER, Corpos don't learn unless you hit their wallets. The devs and artists and engineers have already been paid! They don't get extra for good sales and in the current state of AAA studios, even success leads to layoffs.

Internet connection isn't required to run a LAN connection. Wi-Fi is just another form of interconnectivity. Meaning any network can still function while "offline", you just won't be able to ping anything outside that local network.
