Yes, #cholera has become more #lethal in 2024, with global deaths rising by at least 50% compared to the previous year. The global case fatality ratio (CFR) has escalated: in Africa, the CFR climbed from 1.4% in 2023 to 1.9% in 2024, & several countries have reported rates above 2%.
