Scarlet and Violet probably has my favorite cast of any Pokemon game. Overall, I do think Pokemon should be applauded for the character designs across the whole series. With each game, I feel like they try a lot of new things and I appreciate them for that.
It could be better. I think one of the only reasons the stocky guys stuck out to me is because they're one of the only ones with a heavier body type and most NPCs are pretty skinny.
Random Employee: Listen, I spent a really long time on this specific character model and we're going to get the most out of it!
Other Employee: But what about other body types like-
Random Employee: I SPENT FIFTY HOURS CALCULATING THE IDEAL GIRTH! I'm not doing it again!
Someone who worked on Pokemon Legends: Z-A must have a thing for chubby short kings because I've seen more diverse representation of that specific body type in my first few hours with the game than I have ever seen in a lifetime of gaming.
Hephaestus isn't usually a priority for me because of how much set up is required to get the most out of his blasts but when the man cooks, I eat well.
For anyone interested, on this run I managed to quickly reduce my blast cool down on my attack to two seconds and increase its power to around 800-1000sh per blast depending on conditions. This was Fear Level 16 and Hephaestus basically carried the whole thing.
Feels like a fun time to mention that the city Gator Days takes place in is based on Portland.
And now it's time for Miss Horsehill to explain the grading system in [REDACTED]
Miss Horsehill: In the country of [REDACTED] we grade on a 100 point system. 60 is considered the lowest passing score but a sign that a student isn't fully grasping the material.
Reddit's new notification inbox for desktop browsers might be the biggest UI downgrade I've ever experienced. It's clunkier, it takes more clicks to do anything, when you click on a post it shows up in the sidebar with even less text, and the functionality is inconsistent.
Example of the Reddit notification inbox. The notification on the left contains a portion of the text from the comment. When you click, it shows up on the right with even less text.
They'll also be appearing on-
Text: EVAN COLDBEAR
Evan: The president hates me too!
Don't forget to catch them next week on-
Text: TIMMY KIBBLE
Timmy: The algorithm loves me! The president doesn't.
Maybe watch a banned show too.
Gwen: Sig's mom is campaigning to ban a show.
Polly: I wasn't going to watch it but now I will.
Please be weary of Booky the Banned Book
Booky the Banned Book has a great big smile and eyes that stare into your soul. He says, "I'm an abomination! READ ME!"
Book banned? Librarians find a way.
Dora the Librarian is in a trench coat.
Dora: Psssst- Hey! Got any banned books?
Opened up Pokemon Violet to see what shinies I had and I ended up randomly running into a shiny Snubbull and a shiny Sobble. It's like the game is trying to tempt me back into shiny hunting.
