It's a good day when I'm the only woman on the call and one man asks another to be the note-taker. Didn't even look at me.
Oh no. Oh, no no no.
I have just seen a coworker use "Gets" instead of "Benefits".
No.
I still refuse to acknowledge "Asks", we are definitely NOT going for "Gets".
3:30 pm on a Friday before a 3-day weekend is NOT the time for me to try to do CIDR calculations on the fly.
From the department of "I think I've seen it all, but just wait...", today I talked to a company that had over 400 Windows clusters. They were using File Share Witness for quorum. They had 400 2-core VMs on-prem - one for each cluster - host the witness.

It was hibiscus rum punch! Sorel hibiscus liqueur, Cristal rum, fresh lime, Demerara syrup, soda. (Yes I pasted that!)

Also this is a tiki bar with a 9-hole indoor putt putt golf course.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Friday night was tiki bar and women’s football! Also @racingloufc.com won 2-0!
It was an even bigger win for them. They now understand the why of the products they're designing for, not just the how.
As a side project at work this year, I started a study group for the Azure Database UX Designers. We went through the Azure Data Fundamentals materials. Multiple UX designers passed this exam because I taught them, despite only one having a background in data. That was a huge win for me!
I really really really really REALLY miss training people, and creating materials to train people. It has always been the favorite part of my job.
I've thoroughly enjoyed a Friday afternoon with no (!!!) meetings and created wonderful diagrams to illustrate the many ways ApplicationIntent=ReadOnly can be used with Azure SQL DB/SQL MI.
People make computers so that checks out.
Computers are terrible.
I thought that was Excel.
I am VERY excited about this non-IPA offering.
"We need to recover data from an Access 1997 database" are words I never thought I'd hear again, but here we are.
The fucking table of contents in Microsoft documentation moved AGAIN.

Why.

I just got used to it being under the title.

FFS.
I can tell when people write things using Copilot and don't check it and it UPSETS me.
I have my first Queen Bee badge, yay! #queenbee #spellingbee
Down to 3 unread email in my inbox, must be time to end my week.
Perfect for a Friday in which I need to Get Things Done.
Bought local coffee beans last weekend. Made an Americano at home with them today. Hearing colors at this point. Dang is that strong.
